Subchapter V: the small-business fast lane
Added by the Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019, Subchapter V lets qualifying debtors under the statutory debt cap reorganize without a creditors' committee or a disclosure statement. A standing Subchapter V trustee is appointed to facilitate a plan, which the debtor alone may file within 90 days, and owners can keep equity without full payment of unsecured claims.
